Reflections at Bedtime
Tonight, the girls and I are laying in bed and Colson, out of nowhere, asks, "Why do I got brains?" The other night it was "Do fairies belong in Ariel?" (I'm assuming she meant the movie, or Ariel's world or story.)
So, to me, this is pretty awesome. My 3 year old contemplates. Lying there in silence she's wondering why she has brains. Pondering fairy tales and magical creatures and how they fit into her world. I am enthralled with my little glimpse into her mind. Perhaps this is normal and mundane to some. Maybe this is just motherhood. These tiny things, these little people...they fill my world with awe.
