Plug it in
Colson was just pretending her pegasus stuffed animal was pregnant and she comes running up to me and says: "Mommy! The baby in her tummy is hungry!! I need a plug that fits in her tummy!!" See, we discussed umbilical cords a week or so ago...I can only imagine Colson's mental picture of how this works. :)

Fo
Here comes that obligatory my-little-baby's-growing-up-so-fast post. She is. Fin, I mean. She'll be two soon and she's finally saying real words. The phone rang at dinner and she points in the direction of where the noise is coming from and says, "Fo!!" Anyhow, she speaks. A little, and mostly incomprehensibly.
And tonight, see, I usually lay down in between the girls until they fall asleep. Well, tonight Fin was crying for her sister. So I pulled her into a hug and she climbed over me, settled herself down next to Colson and Colson put her arm around her and they both drifted off to sleep. It was sweet and the moonlight was positioned so perfectly, encasing them in a soft bluish window on the bed.
A bit of a ramble, I suppose. Ramblings entitled to mothers in the moments late at night when the world seems to stand still for once and we can really take in just how much...well, happens. Life.
